Yang Bai received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, in 2014, 2016, and 2019, respectively. He has been an assistant professor at the College of Information Science and Engineering, Ritsumeikan University, since 2019. Dr. Bai is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the Robotics Society of Japan (RSJ). His current research interests include robust adaptive control and multi-agent control.
In 2023 he joined Bio-Inspired Networking Laboratory, Department of Bioinformatic Engineering, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Osaka University. He is a member of the national Moonshot Research & Development Program, Moonshot Goal 3 "Realization of AI robots that autonomously learn, adapt to their environment, evolve in intelligence and act alongside human beings, by 2050." He is involved in the project entitled as "New World of Inspiration by Co-evolution of Humans, AI Robots, and Biological Cyborgs."
